Love's threat:

The price is steep.

Requires plenty of grace.

All my ways, does this love now seep.

Guess it’s my core you refuse to embrace.

I promised ––––– your vulnerability ––––– I’ll keep.

You took mine and threw it against my face.

My heart broken, yet I won’t weep.

With ice, you did debase

me. Love’s not cheap.

And yet...
